Informed by Jewish values, Hoosier Jews for Choice takes action in the community to advance
reproductive justice, support abortion access, and promote bodily autonomy for all people
across the state of Indiana.
Abortion access is a Jewish value.
When the Indiana legislature banned abortion in the state of Indiana, they did not only violate the human right to bodily autonomy, they violated the religious freedom of the Jewish community. Jewish law doesn’t just allow abortion, it commands it in some cases. In the Jewish tradition, we are taught to uphold human dignity, ensure the right to health care, pursue justice, and love your neighbor as yourself.
Hoosier Jews for Choice provides opportunities for Jews in Indiana to act upon these Jewish values and create meaningful change for all people across Indiana.
